Chapter 9 - Ogaki
Ogaki is an incredibly beautiful little city in Gifu Prefecture. We came here on our last trip for a Koe no Katachi pilgrimage and it was so nice we wanted to come back, plus the Sakura was supposed to be starting to bloom there too. We caught the shinkansen from Tokyo station to Maibara station (can stop at either Nagoya or Maibara, but all shinkansen stop at Nagoya station whereas only like 3 trains per hour stop at Maibara station, so it's kinda a cool place to watch the Nozomi shinkansen pass by the station). From Maibara we took a local train on the Tokaido Main Line to Ogaki station. As I just mentioned, Ogaki is a beautiful city, but there isn't exactly much else to do here besides walk around and see the city. Directly south of the station is a shopping street but most of the stores are closed, and the stores that are open pretty much cater to just the locals.
