Chapter 2 - Ueno Zoo / Sumida Aquarium / Tokyo Skytree
We started our day off by catching the train from Tokyo Station to Ueno Station to visit the Ueno Zoo. The zoo is located about 5 minutes away from the Ueno Station through the Ueno park. It's quite a large zoo, two parts with a little train the connects both sides.
After Ueno Zoo we took the Ginza Subway to Asakusa Station and train to Tokyo Skytree Town. Our first stop there was the Sumida Aquarium. The Sumida Aquarium was probably my favorite aquarium we visited, there were lots of great and adequately sized exhibits. It also wasn't super crowded either. The Sumida Aquarium was the only aquarium we went to with goldfish aquariums as well.
After the aquarium we went to the observation deck on the Tokyo Skytree. It's kinda expensive and has a nice view but I think it would've been better at night...
Before heading back to the hotel we shopped around the Tokyo Skytree Town. The Skytree Town Pokémon Center is located here and there are a ton of other shops and places to eat.
