Chapter 4 - Sunshine Aquarium / Tokyo Art Aquarium / CoCo Ichibanya / Hamamatsucho Station

We took the train to Ikebukuro to visit Sunshine City.  Our first stop in Sunshine City was the Sunshine Aquarium.  We got there right as the aquarium opened and the line was super long, maybe about a 20 minute wait.  I'm not sure if the Sunshine Aquarium is known for anything but was a nice aquarium in general aside from the crowd.

Next we went to the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo.  I didn't take any pictures there because honestly I was too busy being disappointed with how exactly the same it was as the Skytree Town Pokémon Center...
We also omitted Ikebukuro Animate due to the rain and disappointment of the Akihabara Animate.
We stopped by more game centers before heading back to the hotel.

After resting for a bit we walked down a few blocks from our hotel to see the Tokyo Art Aquarium.
The Tokyo Art Aquarium is a sort of art gallery with like mostly acrylic and glass sculptures I guess that are then filled with water and goldfish.  They're only held a one location at a time for a few months out of the year.  I don't think I'd go to one again.  The line was massive, probably the longest line we encounter during our trip.  The venue they had this year was tiny and packed with people.  The displays were certainly beautiful but some were just too small for the goldfish...
Also, I believe I read somewhere on the Art Aquarium website that foreign visitors need to purchase tickets before hand online.  I don't know if that's necessarily true or not, but it is a good idea because you can skip the line to purchase tickets once inside the venue (can't do anything about skipping the line to get into the venue to get to the ticket line however.)

TONS of people just in the way like this dude just standing there in the way scratching his stupid head..

We also stopped by the Hamamatsucho Station to grab curry house with my step brother and his girlfriend and caught a glimps of the Tokyo Tower in the rain.

At Hamamatsucho Station we also found a Panda's gacha machine.  It doesn't look like a normal gacha machine but more like a vending machine.  The only reason why I'm mentioning this gacha machine is that it takes almost all coins which makes a good place to use up any spare change (it takes 10, 50, 100, and 500円 coins but not the 1 or 5円 coins..)  I don't know how often the contents are changed or how long the machines are even there for, but I'd recommend stopping at Hamamatsucho if you have extra change to get rid of just incase it's still there.  It's also very close to Tokyo Tower and there's two Coco Ichibanya Curry Houses nearby.
